Hurricane Dorian Member Update

We are taking steps to ensure our members’ health care coverage needs are continuous and flexible in the event of a storm.

30-Day Emergency Prescription Refills

With the threat of Hurricane Dorian impacting the Southeast, we preparing to ensure that members’ access to their prescription medications remains uninterrupted. As a result, we are working with CVS Caremark, to implement emergency procedures to allow members (who have CVS Caremark through PAI) to have their prescriptions filled should they be impacted by the impending storm. CVS Caremark is an independent company that provides pharmacy benefit management services for PAI.

All network pharmacies will be able to approve one-time emergency refills of a 30-day supply of medication for retail, mail and specialty prescriptions. For overrides for Prior Authorization, Step, Quantity limit edits (new or renewal), please call the Customer Service number on your member ID card. Caremark Help Desks are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rx Open helps patients find nearby open pharmacies in areas impacted by disaster. CVS.com is up-to date on pharmacy status as well.
