Caremark Prescription Drug Information

Notice: Pharmacy benefits vary according to plan type. To locate your pharmacy information customized for your benefits, click here to access your benefit plan information using the group number located on your member ID card. Scroll down the member page until you see the pharmacy icon for your plan. If you have questions about which pharmacy benefit manager is meant for your plan, call the toll-free number on the back of your member ID card.

CVS Caremark is PAI's preferred pharmacy benefit manager and the nation's premier integrated pharmacy services provider, combining one of the nation's leading pharmaceutical services companies with the country's largest pharmacy chain. The company fills or manages more than one billion prescriptions per year, more than any other pharmacy services provider.

Note: Not all groups offer Caremark as their pharmacy benefit manager. Refer to your member ID card for your correct pharmacy benefit information.

Note: Not all Caremark benefit plans are the same. If you want to use a national chain pharmacy, please know that your benefit may restrict the pharmacy that you use. You should always check with your pharmacy to see if it is part of our network before you have your prescriptions filled.

Check Drug Coverage & Cost

Use the Caremark Drug Cost Tool to verify your coverage and find out how much a prescription drug will cost.

Drug Card Program

Your prescription drug card program makes it easy for you to receive the prescriptions you need. When you use a participating network pharmacy, you’ll have NO claim forms to file and NO waiting for reimbursement.

Drug Lists

A prescription drug list is a list of medications that an independent panel of doctors and pharmacists has chosen for their clinical value and cost-effectiveness. With PAI’s prescription drug lists, you and your doctor have the freedom to choose the medication that works best for you. Since there may be more than one drug available for your medical condition, we encourage you to use generic and preferred name-brand drugs whenever possible. This will help manage your prescription costs. Click here to view PAI's current drug lists.

Drug Management Programs

PAI has several programs in place to ensure that members have access to their prescriptions in a way that is both safe and at the lowest cost. Click here for more information about each program. Not all benefit plans are the same. Please check your benefit information to find out which programs apply to you.

Flu Vaccine Network (Retail Pharmacies)

Your prescription drug plan may cover flu vaccines, which are now available at many retail pharmacies. Vaccines administered at your retail pharmacy usually don't require an appointment and use the same effective medications as your physician's office.
