Our Maternity Care Program helps expectant mothers make healthier lifestyle choices during pregnancy and lower their risks for pregnancy-related complications.
- Value added benefit at no cost to employees.
- Encourages prenatal care within the first trimester of pregnancy.
- Identifies members at risk for complications of pregnancy and intervene, as indicated.
- Educates expectant mothers on prevention of complications during pregnancy.
- Provides support and encouragement.
- Provides smoking cessation education tailored to pregnant women.
- Provides information to support the decision to breastfeed.
- Enrollment in the first trimester of pregnancy is strongly recommended, however, expectant mothers are accepted up to 32 weeks
- Summary Plan Descriptions will include description of program and include what the expecting mothers will receive (i.e. packet including above information, as well as a book and a free gift for the newborn).
