How to Read Your EOB

Part of making the most of your health care coverage is understanding how your plan pays your claims and what your role is in that process. To do this, PAI provides you with an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) whenever you or your provider files a claim for your health care benefits. Your EOB provides important information, such as: claims processed by PAI; health care services you have received; how much your health plan covered for these services; how much you may owe your provider; and much more.

PAI also provides the PAI Benefits Portal, which gives members secure access to their benefit information. Here, members can check the status of their claims, read EOBs, check deductibles, and look at plan documents.

If you have questions about how to read your EOB, call the customer service number on your ID card.
