Federal Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act
In 2005, South Carolina passed a mental health parity law. We are using our experience with that law to approach the new federal parity law. In addition to the mental health benefits required by the South Carolina law, we are adding coverage for substance use disorders and additional clinical disorders.
