Mr. David J. Huntington is President and Chief Operating Officer for PAI, TCC Benefits Administrator, and Companion TPA. In 2015, Huntington was promoted to President and COO for all BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina-owned TPA operations to include TCC Benefits Administrators, PAI and Companion TPA, where he has the responsibility to lead all aspects of sales, marketing strategy, finance, and operations for the combined group of companies.
Huntington has served in various capacities since beginning his career with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina in 1975 as a claims examiner. In 1984, he was promoted to Manager & Marketing Account Executive for the company’s first multi-state account. In this role he was nominated for the Governor’s Award for outstanding performance in productivity improvements. He continued to advance through the management ranks.
In 1991 he assumed management of a small subsidiary named PAI. Under his direction, PAI steadily built a reputation for service excellence among self-funded employers in South Carolina, growing the company into a national TPA with a broad portfolio serving over 400,000 members from its headquarters in Columbia, SC.
In 2003, Huntington was named Vice President of BCBSSC Major Group Marketing, a role he held concurrent with his position at the helm of PAI. PAI’s performance continued to set records for growth and success, never wavering from providing excellent service to our clients, with an expanding and evolving portfolio of products and services, including administration for national carrier partners. Huntington is credited with “finding a way to make the business work and grow” and continues to adapt and find solutions that meet changing needs to meet the needs of our clients.
In April 2015, Huntington celebrated 40 years with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.
Mr. Stiles is Assistant Vice President of Operations for PAI. He oversees enrollment, claims processing, and customer service. He joined PAI in September 2006 and has 15 years experience with the largest health insurer of South Carolina, where he has served in various management positions. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a member of the Leadership Columbia class of 2007.
Ms. Windham is Chief Financial Officer for PAI. She oversees accounting, billing and eligibility, and check distribution. Ms. Windham has been with the company since 1998. Prior to joining PAI she has held positions in public accounting and professional accounting positions in the health care field. She is a CPA and a graduate of University of South Carolina.
Mr. Dawkins is AVP of Information Systems for PAI. He oversees computer operations, programming, telecommunications, and system support. A graduate of Winthrop University, Mr. Dawkins has been with PAI since 1994. He is also certified in several areas of IBM system administration.
Mr. Kelley is Director of Sales for PAI. He joined PAI in July 2011 and is responsible for sales and account services for PAI's self-funded, specialty products, and stop loss divisions. He is experienced in the self-funded and specialty products insurance sectors. He has a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Ms. Miller is PAI's Compliance Officer. She oversees all compliance activities, quality assurance, training, and HIPAA Privacy. She has been managing in a healthcare environment since 2000 and has been with PAI since 1996. Prior to joining PAI, she was with the largest health insurer of South Carolina for five years. She has the designation of Associate, Reinsurance Administration, and Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance.
